Program Overview

You will have the opportunity of a lifetime in this program - the ability to rebuild your life while building homes for families in need! Yuba-Sutter YouthBuild has an open door policy, with a non-traditional and individualized curriculum. We tailor our classes to meet the needs of our students; there is no busy work. We also assist students interested in pursuing a college degree with prep classes and campus tours. Our classrooms are large and open with a computer center and library. We offer free breakfast, lunch and bus passes to assist our students' non-academic needs.

Habitat for Humanity Yuba-Sutter is dedicated to eliminating substandard housing and homelessness through constructing, rehabilitating and preserving homes. Our students gain both academic and hands-on knowledge while working with a licensed contractor building LEED homes. We offer CPR, First Aid, Forklift, OSHA 10, PACT (Pre-Apprenticeship Construction Training) and Hazmat certifications for all students. There is also an option to earn a solar instillation certification with possibility of placement after the program.
