Program Overview
YouthBuild AmeriCorps offers a 12-month cycle of project-based, High School Equivalency (HSE) instruction and basic skills instruction with an emphasis on college preparation, stackable credentials, and industry recognized certifications. YouthBuild students are encouraged to pursue careers in healthcare, technology, construction or other career pathways of choice. YouthBuild students are also AmeriCorps members. After completion of 450 hours of service to the community rehabbing affordable housing, members earn $1,550 for education beyond YouthBuild.
