Program Overview
Since 2002, the Safe Haven Community Center Youth & Adult Education Study Site has served over 398 students through our Youth and Adult Basic Education Literacy, GED, ESL Classes and Job Readiness & Work Experience program. Including over 240 Employment First participants since 2007. The center successfully helped youth and adults prepare and obtain their GED diploma, learn English, and learn to read and write. We successfully provided tutoring to students who struggled with reading and writing and tutored adults with learning disabilities and dyslexia. Students have obtained their GED, gained employment and higher education.
