Program Overview

X-Cel offers free High School Equivalency preparation classes, both morning and evening schedules, with rolling admissions and immediate enrollment. Instruction is individualized and customized for maximum progress. Classes are offered year-round.

Andrea came to X-Cel to pursue her dream of a career in healthcare and a better life for her two young sons. "I had always dreamed of a successful career in a hospital, but after I had to leave school early to take care of my children I doubted that was still possible," she said. Andrea learned of X-Cel's high school equivalency program and quickly became a leader in her classes; she was even chosen as her class speaker at X-Cel's June 2017 graduation celebration. With support from X-Cel staff, Andrea entered and completed Bunker Hill Community College's Medical Assistant Program, and she is now employed full time with excellent salary and benefits at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital.
