WTCI Learning Lounge Initiative

Program Overview

WTCI hosts Learning Lounges in social services waiting areas, HeadStart programs and venues serving families and children at risk. The Lounges introduce children and families to the programs, content and resources that PBS provides on-air, online and in the community. Each Lounge welcomes children and families to these resources via television screen, streaming PBS KIDS media, handheld tablet devices [PBS KIDS Playtime Pads] and print materials and resources relative to services in the community to support learning and literacy for everyone in the family.
