Empowerment is moving someone forward, helping them achieve a goal, and showing them that they did it. It is much more than just telling someone they're capable. As a mentor, the people you interact with require more than cliché phrases. They need direction, motivation, and a helping hand. Mentors are often a voice of reason and someone to look up to. Mentors have the ability to guide people and offer unique perspectives.
I wanted to show my mentees that writing can be an effective way of expressing themselves. Writing is more than a hobby; its my thoughts and voice visible for my eyes to see. That's what I wanted to show my mentees. – Aaron
