Program Overview

WGVU Public Media provides literacy kits and books to children at events throughout West Michigan. We also help plan literacy lessons in the community, provide resources to children and families for school and programs outside of schools. Our multipronged approach supports literacy efforts all around West Michigan.

Cost Info

Our programming is primarily free. We work with public schools to provide them materials, and nonprofit programs as well, many of them free as well. We hand out literacy materials at event - books and kits, and those are free. We plan lessons for nonprofits, and facilitate teacher trainings on media and other literacy, and provide literacy related events for children.
