Program Overview

Welcoming Falls Church is a public-private organization. Our goal is hospitality toward immigrants and refugees. We provide the opportunity to grow and learn and integrate into the community. The Adult and Family Literacy Center (AFLC), in partnership with the Falls Church City Public Schools and The English Empowerment Center (formerly Literacy Council of Northern Virginia), offers adult classes which meet Tuesday and Thursday from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. A children's literacy activities program (CLAP!) provides childcare for up to 12 children, ages 4-12. Classes are held at Oak Street Elementary School, 601 S Oak Street, Falls Church, VA 22046.
