Program Overview

SCO provides comprehensive vision care to children and adults to support their literacy goals. Since 80% of learning is done visually, learning to read becomes much more challenging for people with an undiagnosed or untreated vision problem. Through charitable care programs, partnerships in the community, and programs such as our MobilEYES mobile vision unit that takes eye care into community-based settings, SCO is working to eliminate vision as a barrier to success in the Memphis metropolitan area.

Cost Info

Insurance is billed where available. Patients who cannot afford to pay for uninsured services or copays are referred to one of our many charitable care programs.
