Program Overview

Our academic program encompasses both the required subjects for graduation and extracurricular activities like parenting classes, corps to career programs, guest speakers, and life skills classes.

UCCIE students are trained in landscaping, park maintenance, recycling, forest restoration, fuel reduction and firefighting. The students have a direct line to employment with the forest service as well as to city maintenance employment. Students can earn CPR/First aid certifications, forest service certifications, chainsaw certification as well as other "green" certifications. Students are able to go on environmental field trips to the forest and recycling centers to apply what was learned in the classroom to the real world.
