Program Overview

The United Way of South Central Illinois is proud to bring the Dolly Parton Imagination Library to our community. This special program provides free books to children from birth to age five. Every month, a new, high-quality book is mailed directly to your home at no cost. This helps children develop a love for reading and prepares them for school.

All children in Jefferson, Marion, and Washington counties can join. To sign up, parents just need to fill out a simple form. Our goal is to support early childhood education and ensure every child has the chance to succeed.

If you have any questions or need help signing up, please contact us at our office or visit our website. We are excited to share the joy of reading with your family!

Student and Volunteer Success Stories

“My daughter, Emily, has been receiving books from the Dolly Parton Imagination Library for a year now. She used to struggle with reading, but these books have made a big difference. Every month, she eagerly waits for her new book to arrive. Her reading skills have improved, and she now loves storytime. This program has truly been a blessing for our family." – Sarah, a grateful parenet
