Troy Public Library

Program Overview

The Troy Public Library offers a free weekly English conversation group called Talk Time. Rather than a formal English class, this is a casual group for practicing English with other learners. All skill levels are welcome. Users can learn more and register for this program here.

In 2022, TPL will also provide an ELL Book Club at BIGGBY Coffee in Troy. Free copies of the book will be available to anyone who registers, and discussion is always laid-back. No need to have read the whole book to participate.

The Troy Public Library also provides English language learning resources, Citizenship Exam resources, and novels in languages other than English. We also provide databases for test prep support and general language learning, such as ProCitizen, Pronunciator, and Mango Language. These resources are free to Troy Public Library cardholders.
