Student and Volunteer Success Stories

"I was trying to go to technical school, but I couldn't read the assignments. I went to the literacy council and told them I needed help reading. I started to work with Jerry and my life has never been the same. He's been my angel." Rosa, student

Rosa, whose first language is Spanish, has completed a technical degree, started her own cleaning business and has earned an associate's degree in business administration from Washburn University. Rosa said learning to read gave her the confidence to succeed.
