Student and Volunteer Success Stories

"The NEDP changed my life because it's given me a chance to fulfill my dream of attending college. At 60, I dedicated myself to the NEDP work that challenged and stimulated my brain. This program has taught me that it is okay to make mistakes, that is where learning happens. I feel that my problem-solving skills have improved and that I now have a growth mindset along with confidence to be a scholar. I am going to proceed with my college goal by taking a writing class at TJACE to prepare me for college writing success. I am also going to improve my computer skills. Marching in the first at PVCC's commencement made feel honored by PVCC. They see us as the next college graduates. Earning my diploma through the NEDP has taught me that anything is possible." -Sharon
