Program Overview
The City of Abraham Church & Ministries (COACAM) believes adult education plays a role in addressing social problems highlighted by Baltimore's high crime, illiteracy and murder rate. Through the implementation of The North Avenue Learning Initiative, COACAM believes we (collectively as a community of stakeholders) can transform lives by creating additional safe and nurturing environments for adults to learn, think and analyze their world and the world around them.
Since November 2021, COACAM has been working with a local library to host in-person Saturday ABE/GED classes. The is a hybrid class. Adult learners have the option to join us via ZOOM or show-up in-person.
Cost Info
This is a FREE ABE/GED program for adults aged 19 and older. This program offers one multi-level, hybrid ABE/GED class on Saturdays from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the Walbrook branch of the Enoch Pratt Free Library. There is an option also for adult learners to participate via ZOOM in this class if they are unable to attend the in-person class.Education services
