Program Overview
The HUB Community Center offers free programs to help students and families. We provide tutoring, homework help, fun activities, and parent support. These programs help children do better in school and help families grow stronger together.
One-on-one tutoring is available for students ages 5 to 17. This program helps kids with reading, writing, and math. Tutors give students personal support to help them feel more confident in school. Tutoring takes place at Citrus Grove Apartments. Students in kindergarten through fifth grade can come from 4:00 to 5:30 PM. Students in sixth through twelfth grade can come from 5:30 to 7:00 PM. The program includes homework help, learning activities, and special support if needed.
Parents can also join coaching sessions to learn about communication, discipline, and family relationships. English and Spanish classes are available to help parents improve their language skills. These sessions take place at the Community Learning Center. Weekly classes are available for parents who want to learn.
After-school programs help students with homework and provide fun learning activities. Homework help is available twice a week from 4:00 to 5:30 PM at Citrus Grove Apartments. On Wednesdays, students can attend a special program at Friends Church from 2:00 to 6:00 PM. This program includes arts, STEM, music, and games. Snacks are provided during these sessions.
All programs are free, but space is limited. Families can contact us to sign up or learn more.
