The Excel Center

Program Overview

The Excel Center is a unique in-person adult high school serving learners ages 22 and older across the Denver Metro region. Our holistic model promotes improved economic outcomes by offering adults the opportunity to earn a high school diploma, engage in occupational exploration, and build pathways to college, career, or vocational training — all supported by wraparound services such as free onsite childcare, transportation assistance, remedial education, and case management.

Every day, adults walk through our doors ready to rewrite their stories. A high school diploma helps them take that next step - toward college, a better job, and a more stable future for themselves and their families.

And it works! More graduates continue their education and stick with it – 68% of our first class of graduates have gone on to college or certification programs.

Employment and earnings both rise by 40%.

Parents become role models, and two thirds of Excel Center students see their kids' grades climb too.

One of our graduates, Ben, knows this firsthand. After decades working in the family sign shop, Ben knew it was time to invest in himself and his future, and he courageously chose to earn his diploma at the Excel Center. And it didn't stop there! He went on to train for a job in Colorado's growing green economy through Goodwill's Clean-Tech accelerator credentialing program.
