Program Overview

The Northwest Adult Education Program, operated by the Tate County Literacy Council, helps adults in Tate County build the skills they need for work, college, and everyday life. The program offers classes in basic reading and math, preparation for earning a high school equivalency diploma (HiSET or GED®), and support to improve literacy skills. Students can also receive job-related training, including ACT WorkKeys math and workplace reading, as well as guidance to help them move on to college or career training programs.
