Program Overview

Through an enriched and rigorous curriculum in Literacy, Mathematics, Social Studies, and Science aligned with the Common Core State Standards OE helps youth and adults successfully pass their NYS High School Equivalency exam (TASC).

Mission Statement

Operation Equivalency was founded in 2013. Our mission has
been and is to provide exceptional High School Equivalency Test Readiness
preparation (English & Spanish) and we specialize in transitioning adult
learners from the traditional "GED" test to the New Common Core "TASC" exam
(English & Spanish). In addition to HSE (High School Equivalency) test
readiness, in 2016, we became an approved TASC Testing Site, named the Maria
Cruz Testing Center. Operation Equivalency is an organization that is set out
to help individuals to achieve goals and objectives that will cause them to advance
in the business world/academia. We have also partnered with a team of licensed
social workers dedicated to ensure equitable educational opportunities for
students and to provide counseling and guidance in all areas, to promote
academic continuity and a clearer path to success in education, work and life.

Hours of operation: Monday through Thursday, 9am to 3pm; Monday and Wednesday 5:30pm to 9:30pm

Cost info: Our services are free, we only charge an administrative fee of $20 per semester (every 14 weeks) to provide students with paper, pens, pencils, calculator use, etc.

Although we serve the 5 boroughs of New York. Our students are primarily from the East Harlem and Bronx Communities.
