Program Overview

St Mark Community Education Program (SMCEP) has been providing ESOL classes from beginning to high intermediate for over 20 plus years. It began as a volunteer effort by parishioners of St Marks' parish. In 2003, the parish received funding from English for New Bostonians which it used to hire a part time director and teachers. In 2005, the parish spun the program off to be its own 501c3 organization. Currently the program offers 4 levels of English classes and Citizenship classes throughout the year. In addition, SMCEP holds a weekly in person conversation group on Saturday mornings as welll online eveings ones Monday to Thursday
