Program Overview

South Piedmont Community College's (SPCC) School of College and Career Readiness (CCR) supports the academic and employability needs of at-risk populations in Union and Anson Counties. Departments include: Adult Basic Skills; Literacy Services; Human Resources Development; and Correctional Education Programs.

SPCC provides all CCR students with diverse, equitable, and inclusive services, programs, and support to make lifelong learning possible. Programs include:

  • High School Equivalency
  • ESOL
  • Compass Education - a program that supports adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities who have a goal of transitioning to post-secondary education programs or the workforce
  • Literacy Services - one-on-one or small group tutoring to support improving literacy and/or English language skills
  • HRD - short-term employability training
Our services are provided at no cost to our students.
