Poter was formally created in 2013, but the individuals working within the organization have sponsored classes at their location for over 10 years. We offer various levels of free ESL classes, legal citizenship preparation classes, and employment training classes. Our year round program engages clients to focus on their skills gap in order to transform individuals into productive long-term employees. We offer continuous set of classes with distinct academic levels scheduled to work around current employed clients, and clients new to the work force. We currently use "English for Hospitality and Food Service" and other well known ESL books. Our program is led by trained and certified individuals using current teaching/training methods to insure clients find and keep meaningful employment in our communities.
