Program Overview

Seeds of Literacy is a non-profit focused on providing personalized education that empowers students to thrive in their communities through one-to-one tutoring. Free tutoring in GED/HiSET is offered in person at our two physical locations, as well as remotely via video and telephone conference in our Virtual Classroom.

Program’s Demographics/Metrics

We serve around 1,000 adult learners annually. Most students come to Seeds with reading and math skills under a 9th grade level, and limited computer skills. Most students are working toward the goal of a High School Equivalency.

Last year, nearly 80% of our active students showed an increase of at least one grade level in one subject.
