Program Overview

At Sea Lion Speech and Reading Therapy, our goal is to help learners close the gap between reading ability and potential.

We specialize in evaluations of speech, spoken language, language understanding, story-telling, reading, spelling, and writing. Over three-hours of testing, a nationally certified speech-language pathologist and dyslexia specialist will work to identify your child's roadblocks and strengths, then write up a report. We will meet again to discuss recommendations and form an action plan. This evaluation can diagnose: dyslexia, written-language disorder, developmental-language disorder (DLD), speech-sound disorder, and executive dysfunction. We cannot diagnose ADHD, general IQ, or math-related concerns.

Ages served: 5 - 21 years old

Visit us at our office in Longmont, CO or via an online appointment. This gives your child a low-stress environment, and lets us offer lower cost evaluations than many of our diagnostic competitors. Super-bills to submit to health-insurance are available upon request.

Student and Volunteer Success Stories

"Ms. Meg was able to not only successfully treat my son's dyslexia, but her sessions were a high point of his week. Ms. Meg set out a clear plan for the intervention with excellent communication and collaboration with parents. Within the session, she was structured, yet fun and engaging. My son moved from avoiding reading to enjoying reading and scoring highly on standardized measures. He now brags about his stack of 700 page novels that he has completed. Our family is very grateful to her. As a professional that also works with children, I have been consistently impressed with Ms. Meg's skill and professionalism. I continue to refer other families to her for intervention. She has my highest recommendation. "

"As a former school psychologist, I knew I needed a provider who was strong in the science of reading and had experience in many treatment programs. Our child's reading skills have grown tremendously under Meg's care".
