Program Overview

SA Youth offers a formal YouthBuild program, partly funded by Department of Labor, and affiliated with YouthBuild USA. The program runs year round and is free to participants. Eligibility requirements include:

- Must be a dropout (although a small percentage of individuals who have finished high school and still have verifiable learning issues may still be enrolled)

- Must be between ages 16-24

- Must commit to a year of learning

- Should be considered low income and must show proof of income status

The program is M-F 8am-5pm. Half day M-Thur is spent in education/academics and half day is spent in workforce training in construction. Fridays are dedicated to leadership, training and credentialing courses a half day. Some Saturday programs are required.

Hours of operation: 8a-5pm

Cost info: SA Youth is a free program. Young people can earn incentives and stipends while in the program if participating regularly and formally accepted and enrolled. Attendance is required.
