Program Overview

Adult Basic Skills and Integrated English Literacy and Civics Education Program

Rowan College at Burlington County along with our Burlington County Consortium partner agencies offer adults the opportunity to upgrade basic skills, become literate and obtain the knowledge and skills necessary for employment and self-sufficiency. RCBC can help adults become full partners in the educational development of their children and complete a secondary school education with sufficient skills and knowledge to succeed in postsecondary education.

Students enrolled in the Adult Basic Skills (ABS) upgrade classes will upgrade their skills in math, reading, and writing.

Our HiSET preparation classes will cover the five subject areas necessary to pass the HiSET Test: Mathematics, Writing, Science, Social Studies and Reading.
