Program Overview
R2K's Adult Learning program recognize that today's young adults are from many cultures and are a part of a disjointed community due to different societal demands and struggles. Through academic evaluations R2K facilitators will meet one-on-one with the future learner and advisor to help develop the right instruction pattern. The curriculum will be built around the basic needs of young adults that have not been able to complete traditional high school. An advance curriculum will be used to assist learners seeking to enter college or advance in the work place.
R2K also offers workshops with a collaborative focus to increase leaners ability to understand the needs of societal workforce. Learners will recognize that collaboration and co-operation are society needs which can advance their role. Our adult learning program's focus is on encouraging individuals to take advantage of opportunities to develop academically as well as increasing employment skills. The idea is to assist in reconnecting family and community members. We will offer:
- Academic course work to increase reading, writing, and mathematics skills
- Family Tutoring sessions (encourage parents to work with their child during homework)
- Financial aid workshops (helping those seeking financial assistance for college)
- Admissions and Job seeking workshops (Offer strategies for review and edit admission essays and resumes)
- Cooperative and collaboration workshops

Basic application fee of $15 for literacy English reading, writing, and mathematics classes.Student and Volunteer Success Stories
