The Riverside County Library System Literacy Services provides free reading and writing help for adults 16 years of age or older. We also offer free family literacy workshops, English language class, walk-in tutoring, and a high school diploma program (Career Online High School). One or more of these programs are offered at most of the Riverside County libraries. If someone you know needs help with reading and writing, please contact the Literacy Department by calling (951) 685-6901 or emailing Literacy@rivlib.net.
The goal of Literacy Services is to introduce the individual learner and his/her family to the value and joy of reading as a family.
The underlying concept of these services is that children who are talked to and read to by adults learn to read better and as a result break the cycle of illiteracy.
Hours of operation: 8-5 a.m. Monday thru Friday
Cost info: All programs provided through the Riverside County Library System Literacy Services are FREE and open to all members of the public.
