RISE Adult Literacy

Program Overview

RISE Adult Literacy helps adults in the Hattiesburg area build stronger reading and writing skills. We work with adults who want to improve their skills for everyday life, work, education, or future goals.

Students receive one-on-one support from trained volunteer tutors. We meet each student where they are and help them grow at their own pace in a safe and encouraging setting.

There is no cost to participate. Adults who would like help with reading or writing can contact RISE to learn more and get started.

We also welcome volunteers who would like to help an adult improve their reading and writing skills. Training and support are provided for literacy volunteers.

RISE is a Christian nonprofit located in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Everyone who comes to RISE is treated with dignity, respect, and care.
