Program Overview

“The RGV Literacy Center provides economic opportunities, by empowering our communities through adult education and literacy". Formerly the Pharr Literacy Project, the Rio Grande Valley Literacy Center provides structured, quality English as a Second Language (ESL), Adult Basic Education, and GED Preparation classes. All classes are small group classes and are led by professional instructors. Classes are currently offered in McAllen, Pharr, and Edinburg. As a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, we rely solely on fundraisers, grants, and donations from various cities, organizations, civic groups and individuals from throughout the Rio Grande Valley.

The Rio Grande Valley Literacy Center provides economic opportunities by empowering our communities through adult education and literacy.

Hours of operation: Monday-Thursday 9:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m.

Cost info: $25 Registration Fee for all classes. Scholarships are available.
