Program Overview
Rio Arriba Adult Literacy Program (RAALP) helps adult literacy students articulate, work towards, and achieve their individual literacy and English‐language objectives (including benchmark progress goals). RAALP recruits, trains, and matches community volunteers with adult Basic Literacy and English‐as‐a‐Second‐Language students; and provides on‐going support and educational materials to adult students, and continuing education for tutors. Tutor-student pairs meet weekly in a public location for a minimum of two hours.
