Richmond Public Library has a Main branch and 8 community branches. We provide early literacy storytimes at each site as well as provide outreach programming into our community.
We provide an annual Winter Reading Program for little ones 0-6 and an annual Summer Challenge Program for all ages to ensure summer learning and engagement around reading and interactive learning.
We have many community partners that help provide diverse learning programs from theater, to STEM to chess.
The Library provides a variety of computer and workforce development programs as well for all levels.
The mission of the Richmond Public Library is to inform, enrich, and empower Richmond's residents: to enrich lives and expand opportunities for all citizens by promoting reading and the active use of cultural, intellectual, and information resources through a dedication to excellence and professional service.
Hours of operation: M-W 10-7; Th/F 10-6
Cost info: There are no costs associated with most library programs or to get a library card. However, replacement cards do have a small charge and there is a cost for lost, damaged or overdue materials.
