Student and Volunteer Success Stories
Last year (2017), four immigrant moms in our program got their first jobs then received tutoring to help them learn the vocabulary that would help them in their work.
One of the young women in our program left high school due to anxiety. She is going to take the high school equivalency test (the Hiset) in spring. Our program has a total of 63 GED and Hiset grads.
"Tutoring is definitely a two-way street. My student learns from me and I learn from her." - Mary Ann Z.
