Program Overview
Reading Partners has been a part of the Dallas educational landscape since 2012, when we launched our program at George W. Truett Elementary School and Roger Q. Mills Elementary School and served 80 students. Since then, we've placed thousands of community volunteers in low-income schools to help kids master basic reading skills. Our one-on-one tutoring empowers students to succeed in reading and in life by engaging community volunteers to provide individualized, personal attention to each student in our program.

Student and Volunteer Success Stories
Tutor: "This kid since he came to the program has said he can't read so with him I have been taking it one letter/sound at a time to create the word. After reading through the Student Read Aloud once, I tested him in fluency and he read the whole book, 25 words, in less than a minute. When I told the teacher, she was very shocked and started cheering from him."
From 1st grade Teacher: The three students you take have improved so much one of the students progressed so well in reading. I almost cried and shed tears at how the student was able to read yesterday in our group reading session and his attitude towards reading is always positive. So whatever you are doing in the reading center please keep it up cause it is showing.
