Program Overview

The LEAD New Britain Literacy Program helps adults and families improve their reading, writing, English, and digital skills. The program is open to adults age 18 and older, including English language learners, parents, seniors, and community members who want to build new skills for work and everyday life.

Classes and workshops include English as a Second Language (ESL), basic reading and writing, digital literacy, and support for job readiness. Services are free or low-cost and offered in a supportive, welcoming environment.

The program is located at 114 Main Street, New Britain, CT, in the downtown area and is accessible by public transportation. Volunteer tutors and instructors support students in small group and one-on-one settings. No prior experience or documentation is required to participate.
