Program Overview

The purpose of the District 214 Community Education Read to Learn Adult Literacy/Volunteer program is to raise English literacy levels of adults reading below the ninth grade level by matching adult learners with volunteers trained to implement prepared individualized lessons designed to help adult learners succeed in improving their English literacy skills.

Class is free, but a $15 donation is requested each semester to offset the cost of materials provided.
