Program Overview
Read for Good is a literacy program designed to empower adults who struggle with reading. Many of our participants come from underserved communities, facing barriers such as unemployment, low wages, or limited access to educational opportunities. For these individuals, learning to read is not just a skill—it's a lifeline that opens the door to better job prospects, financial independence, and personal fulfillment.
The program primarily serves adults referred through our existing programs and partnerships with community organizations. These include individuals seeking employment, career advancement, or greater independence in their daily lives. By focusing on adult-centered approaches and tailored resources, Read for Good meets participants where they are, helping them achieve literacy milestones in a supportive and inclusive environment.
Improving literacy isn't just important—it's transformative. It equips participants with the tools they need to overcome challenges, achieve their goals, and contribute meaningfully to their communities. With Read for Good, we aim to build brighter futures for those who need it most.
