Program Overview

Our program works with adults who are reading below a 10th grade level. We train volunteer tutors and match them with adult learners for weekly one-on-one tutoring sessions. The program is a no cost program that is free for adult learners. The library provides all the materials that tutors need to work with their learners. The program also provides a monthly book club, workshops and takes part in an annual literacy conference with other public library literacy programs in the region.

Hours of operation: 10am-8pm Mon-Thursday, 12-5 Fridays, 10-5 Saturdays and 1-5 Sundays.

Cost info: The current budget for the program is 54,000 annually on staff. 5,000 on books, supplies and other materials. The program would like to provide a few more computers and computer trainings for our learners to better prepare them to meet their goals personally and professionaly.
