Program Overview

Our program works with adults who are reading below a 10th grade level. We train volunteer tutors and match them with adult learners for weekly one-on-one tutoring sessions. The program is a no cost program that is free for adult learners. The library provides all the materials that tutors need to work with their learners. The program also provides a monthly book club, workshops and takes part in an annual literacy conference with other public library literacy programs in the region.

Cost Info

The current budget for the program is 54,000 annually on staff. 5,000 on books, supplies and other materials. The program would like to provide a few more computers and computer trainings for our learners to better prepare them to meet their goals personally and professionaly.
