Program Overview
The Path: An Agent of Change (TPAAC) offers adult basic education and computer skills to prepare for the high school equivalency test and obtain basic to intermediate technology certifications. TPAAC's Project#Life program hosts workshops to facilitate foundational math, reading, and language skills development and computer literacy for adults and out-of-school youth for employment, reemployment, or enhanced employment within the Douglas, Clayton, and Fulton County service areas. Project#Life takes a peer-to-peer sociability approach to create a supportive, anti-bias, racially affirming space to provide professional development services that help improve education, life skills, and job training.
TPAAC staff utilize the TABE (Test of Adult Basic Education) to assess the participants' needs and measure progress. Project#Life program activities include a Mental Health and Wellness two-hour workshop, a Computer Skills two-hour workshop, and a Career Exploration & Job Search two-hour workshop. Upon completion of the technology workshops, participants will receive a certificate of completion and certifications. We also offer SMART Goals, Emotional Intelligence, Design Thinking, and Leadership workshops.
