Program Overview

Project LEAP (Literacy for Empowerment and Progress) is a free family learning program for parents and children. The program is open to families who want to improve their reading, writing, and English skills together. Parents will learn English and basic reading skills, while children receive fun reading lessons to help them do better in school.

Families will also spend time learning together through shared reading, games, and activities that can be used at home. Classes will take place weekly during the summer and fall semester online and at a community location that is easy to reach. Children will receive healthy snacks during each session, and families will take home books and learning materials.

Project LEAP is designed to help families grow, learn, and succeed together. No prior experience is needed, just a desire to learn.
