Program for Adult English Literacy and Youth Education

Program Overview

Afterschool tutoring for Youth: MUCC extends a warm invitation to Utica families for our engaging after-school program. Operating from Tuesday to Thursday, 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM, we provide transportation to and from the program, catering to children aged 6 to 13. This initiative encompasses homework assistance, wholesome snacks, and stimulating activities. Our program has been embraced by parents who continually request its return each semester.

1-on-1 Tutoring for Youth: To bolster academic excellence, MUCC teams up with Hamilton College students who offer tutoring on Saturdays from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM. All students are encouraged to participate, regardless of age or level.

Adult ESL Classes: Working in collaboration with the Department of Education, Madison/Oneida BOCEs and Mohawk Valley Community College, MUCC provides vital ESL classes, serving over 100 adults annually and facilitating language acquisition.
