Program Overview
Pro-Literacy Detroit has provided free tutorial services for adults 16 and older in Metro Detroit for 30 years. We provide one-to-one, small group, and computer assisted tutorial services in Basic Literacy, ESL, and GED Preparation. Additionally we train and certify volunteer tutors to assist adult
students. We train and certify volunteers in Basic Literacy, ESL, Small Group Facilitation, and Workshop Leader.
Our program specializes in supporting adults seeking to improve their reading ability who read below the 3rd grade level.
Cost Info
$10 fee for GAIN, TABE 9/10 or CASAS Reading Assessment. If the student cannot pay, they are not refused tutorial services.Education services
