Program Overview

Parents as Partners in Family Literacy is a free program for parents and caregivers and their children. Adults take Adult Basic Education (ABE) classes to improve reading, writing, and language skills. Children take part in fun, age-appropriate literacy activities that help build early reading skills.

Parents and children also spend time learning together through shared reading and other literacy activities. These sessions help parents support their children's learning at home and build strong family connections.

The program is open to adults who want to improve their literacy skills and their children. Classes take place at Sixth Street Community Center in a welcoming, community-based setting. The program supports families as they learn and grow together.
