Program Overview

ParentChild+ is a unique early literacy program, working with children as young as 16 months and up to four years of age to acquire the skills necessary for success in preschool and beyond.

Early Learning Specialists work with children and their parents in the home or within home-based childcare centers to ensure school readiness by supporting healthy development and building social-emotional, cognitive, and early literacy skills through reading, conversation, and play.

This program provides a library of quality books for each child in the program, as well as guide sheets with learning activities for parents and children to accompany the book. Educational toys also accompany each book, to be shared at the childcare centers or enjoyed in the homes of our one-on-one program participants.

Children have 1,800 days from birth to the start of kindergarten. Each of these days is critical to their school readiness and success. Together, we are inspired by the thought that, the more we work now to level the playing field, the closer we get to an equitable future for all children.
