Old Bridge Library ESL Conversation Groups

Program Overview

Meet and practice English speaking with other adults.. Small classes held once a week (Tuesday evenings OR Wednesday mornings) led by trained volunteers.

Open to all adults, with preference given to Old Bridge residents.

Fall sessions begin in September, Spring sessions begin in February.

Student and Volunteer Success Stories

When "Anna" first attended our conversation group one fall, she was afraid to speak up in class due to her limited English-speaking skill. When she did, it was practically in a whisper. By the time the fall session ended, "Anna" became a more active participant, and proudly announced to the others in her group how impressed her employer was by her progress!
