Next Chapter Adult Learning Program

Program Overview

Next Chapter Adult Learning Program is a free literacy program for adults in the rural and unincorporated areas of Richland County. The program is for adults who want to improve their reading, writing, and basic learning skills. This includes adults who want help reading everyday materials, filling out forms, helping their children with schoolwork, or preparing for work or further education.

Classes are open to adults of all skill levels. No prior experience is needed. Students will receive supportive, small-group or one-on-one instruction in a respectful and encouraging environment. Lessons are paced to meet each learner's needs.

The program is held at our church and is led by trained volunteers who care about adult learning and personal growth. All services are provided at no cost to participants. Supplies and learning materials are included.

Next Chapter Adult Learning Program is a safe and welcoming space for adults who want to grow their skills, gain confidence, and take the next step in their learning journey. Community members interested in becoming students or volunteers are welcome to participate.
