Student and Volunteer Success Stories

"Mid-State Literacy Council has never given up on me."

“My English has improved enough that I train new wait staff at my job. I want to learn more things now."

“Mid-State Literacy provided a tutor who gave me peace of mind. I thought I was too old to learn. I have low vision. I cannot type! We started slowly. My tutor listened and customized my lessons to my needs and interests. I gained confidence and lost my fear."
