Student and Volunteer Success Stories
"I started the Aspire class thinking I would go nowhere and now with the help of Mrs. Lauren and everyone, I did it! I have my high school diploma and a certification in basic word and basic excel. I also have a Silver National Readiness Certificate. I am now at Zane State doing Quick start so I can start college!" -Donna H.
"I started my Aspire class with a goal in mind and that was to obtain my GED, at my first class I realized that I could go so much further than just my GED. With that thought in mind, I achieved my High School Diploma. I was also facing several medical conditions such as recovering from a brain operation. I came in feeling defeated from the beginning until Mrs. Lauren and basically everyone in the Aspire program, including the students, gave me every confidence I needed to succeed. Not only did I receive my Diploma, I completed the STNA program and I passed my State Test. Now that I have accomplished my first goal, I am planning on furthering my Education. I'm excited to see how far I can go." -Angel S.
We are getting ready to celebrate our 50 Year Anniversary! We first received funding in Fall of 1968 to provide adult education services. Classes were up and running by January 1969. Watch for information about our celebration!
