Program Overview
Microsoft Office Basics teaches Word and Excel while boosting people skills for success in the workplace. You will learn:
- How to create a resume in Word
- How to create a budget and write math formulas in Excel
- How to join a meeting on Microsoft Teams
- How to use AI at work
- How feelings and actions impact your work performance
- How to manage feelings and actions to get work done
- How to show concern for the feelings of others at work
Our program is 10 days long, and all learning happens online. Graded activities are due by 11:59 pm each day. These activities are where you apply the skills you learn to small, real-world projects. Help with activities is available through online coaching. You can choose a day and time that works with your schedule. By the end of the program, you will have a resume template, a budget spreadsheet, a job search spreadsheet, and an on-the-job plan for dealing with workplace challenges.
You must be 18+ years old to register. You will need:
- Computer or tablet with a webcam
- Basic computer and internet skills
- Internet service
- 30 minutes to meet with a coach online (strongly encouraged to meet two times each week)
We partner with PCs for People to connect eligible individuals to refurbished desktops, laptops, and internet service. They also participate in the Affordable Connectivity Program. Visit tnsi.pcsrefurbished.com to see devices and prices.
Cost Info
